🌝 Bmw X3 Egr Valve Problems
The most common symptom of a bad EGR valve is a check engine light illuminated on your dashboard. You may also notice bad fuel consumption, reduced power, and rough idle. Your car may also fail an emission test with a bad EGR valve. Here down below, you will find a more detailed list of the signs of a bad or failing EGR valve to look for: 1.
iTrader: ( 0) 335d turbo changeover valve? (SOLVED) The small turbo doesn't spool. I've replaced all vacuum hoses and both pressure converters left side to the engine. The small turbo only kicks in when the engine is cold. With warm engine the actuator rod doesn't move at all and boost only happens above 3000 rpm.
Some of the same engine performance problems which are indicative of an EGR valve failure can also indicate problems in other parts of the system. This can include the likes of faulty spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filters, fuel pump regulators or engine sensors. Some of the most common problems are detailed below:
Identify the root cause before replacing. If possible, check the movement of the valve stem at 1500 to 2000 rpm. The valve stem should move if the valve is functioning correctly – if not, and there’s vacuum, there’s a fault. Apply vacuum directly to the EGR valve using either a hand vacuum pump or scan tool depending on the type of EGR valve.
Upcoming EGR cooler recall. I had my oil changed yesterday (12/30/21) and the BMW service person said there's going to be an EGR cooler recall coming soon. He didn't know when it would arrive (nothing shows up when I run my VIN), but here are the details from my paperwork: Defect Code: 0011280600. Defect Description: B110921 Recall: EGR Cooler
This is quite common problem with modern Diesel vehicles these days and that's EGR valve. In this case it's BMW X1 18XD with only 25K miles but the EGR valv
I had the emission recall performed today on our 2010 X5 diesel. I asked the technician to take a few pictures of the EGR valve as I've been reading about the soot build-up in the old style valve and was interested to see how much was in mine after 33,500 mostly highway miles. I thought you might be interested as well so here are the pictures: 3.
Luckily, still no problems in driving (or not that I can notice). But I had a similar code on my E46 (M47 engine) along with few others and replacing the EGR pressure converter (#11747796634) resolved the problem. I was thinking of doing the same here on my tractor (also as a precaution, since these old valves do die) but I got lost in the process.
